About Us

Meet Doña Marlene
& the Cejas Family

We grew up in the fragrant clouds of llajwa and sopa de maní. Our kitchen in Sucre is not a restaurant — it is our home, and you are our guest.

Doña Marlene has been cooking these recipes her whole life. Her daughters guide you in clear, patient Spanish, while Mamá reveals the secrets of our traditional home cooking.

Words from Our
Guests

Cooking with Doña Marlene was the highlight of my three months in South America. I came for a class and left feeling like part of the family. The salteñas were life-changing!

Not a touristy class — a real, intimate experience in a real Bolivian home. We went to the market, we ground the spices by hand, we ate together. Pure magic.

I booked the private experience for my partner and me. They made us feel so welcome. Full stomachs, recipes to take home, and new friends. 10/10!
